FIGURE 1502 HAMMER UNION - Butt Weld hammer seal unions are also called lug unions, weco style and are used in the oilfield and industrial market for the connections of hose and pipes to one another. they 1502 is a high pressure 15,000 psi union and is usually red and blue color unless the H2S service is used then it is painted Green for sour gas.

Hammer unions are available in threaded and welded style. NPT API line pipe threads are common as well as Buttweld ends can be provided. Customer to specify schedule of pipe size when placing order

it is important to know that the male side is the one with the nut and the female side is the side with the outside threads this is opposite of most common thinking but neverthless is the way hammer unions are made and called out in terminology.
